To prove my point regarding the media being nothing more that a state puppet let’s talk about 1968 to 1975 when the news media was busy broadcasting noise about there being a global ice age coming in the next 40 years. Of course then there was no real natural organic whole foods community just left over hippies but by 1980 all we heard about then was global warming. Now we are hearing that Global warming is going to bring a new global ice age. So, here is my question to the natural organic whole foods community, is it going to be hot or cold? The truth is it is going to be neither because the earth’s temperature is cyclical. In the last thousand years there are records of temperature increases and decreases. I am asking the natural organic whole foods community must consider Larry Vardiman, Ph.D. in his article Vardiman, L. 2008. Does Carbon Dioxide Drive Global Warming? Acts & Facts. 37 (10): 10. Where Dr. Vardiman says…Most paleoclimatologists work with more widely-accepted temperature plots which have been used for many years in standard climate research and textbooks. These individual charts contain wide variations in temperature over the past 1,000 years, in opposition to the impression given by [modern alarmists like Al ] Gore’s temperature diagram. In fact, they normally show a 400-year-long warm period from about 1000 to 1400 A.D., which is known as the Medieval Optimum in Europe. During this period crops flourished, the economy boomed, and the Vikings settled parts of Greenland where the ice sheets had melted back…

I think we should observe this to be “15th century Global Warming” and the certain need for “Alarmists” legislation to control the population from having gardens and cows. The natural organic whole foods community needs to take a lessen here and stop demanding legislation on this point. After all if you control the food you control half the population and if you control health care you control the other half of the population. This is very modern. The natural organic whole foods community will not even be able to grow a garden or keep cows or goats. ]

Continuing Dr. Vardiman’s article …From about 1400 to 1900 A.D., a 500-year cold period occurred. Certain crops like grapes could no longer be grown, the economy declined, and the Vikings were forced out of Greenland by the encroaching snow and ice. Sunspots were found to be fewer during this time period, which became known as the Maunder Minimum. The coldest center portion of this period with the fewest number of sunspots is called the Little Ice Age. The canals in Holland, unlike today, froze over each winter. These changes in temperature associated with sunspot number suggest that the sun may influence the climate over millennial cycles.

In this same article Dr. Vardiman also points out an incongruent curiosity that existed in the years between 1940 and 1970 when there was the largest carbon dioxide emissions output in world history due to world war II and it’s subsequent rebuilding period did not produce a corresponding period of “Global Warming”. According to todays C02 projections we should see a rise in global temperatures between 1940 and 1970 yet we do not. Does this surprise the natural organic whole foods community? The earth’s temperature instead of rising as projected, fell. Another surprise to the natural organic whole foods community. This world wide drop in temperature was no doubt the reasons why alarmists in the 60‘s and 70‘s were crying about a soon to come “Global Ice Age”. Where is that Ice Age? America and the natural organic and whole foods community is fooled again.

Simply stated I think we can observe that Americans are suckers for news sensations that go no where except to more controlling legislation and that includes the natural organic and whole foods community.
