If I were a nutritionist I would not recommend poison before I prescribed an all natural, organic, whole foods diet. The natural, organic, whole foods way of eating almost always improves health. So what can the natural, organic, whole foods community teach others about debt from this fictitious example? Debt is like Poison to our economy, and “spending ourselves into prosperity” with money that we don’t have has never worked for any successful economy, any more than eating poison has made a person healthier than eating natural, organic, whole foods.
I have been in business for many years and there is nothing more challenging than staying prosperous when there are debt spinsters in Washington DC spending our economy into prosperity. Back in the 70’s Jimmy Carter just about did us all in with debt and more debt. The taxes that were required to catch us up just about killed everyone in business. Poison anyone? Debt equals poison.
Carter was trying to jump start the economy by spending us into prosperity and he is considered one of the worse modern presidents we have ever had once the results were seen. By the time the present administration is “done” doing the same thing, only on a larger scale, then we will be “done in” again. Because of these actions I believe Obama will be considered even worse than past president Carter.
If our nutrition is bad we must “stop the bleeding” by eating the right natural, organic and whole foods to restore ourselves to health. The first thing any business must do in crises is to stop the bleeding as well. That simply means stop spending. A business that is in debt must reduce its costs immediately and allow our cash flow to catch up. Now, think about this, If we had no debt as a people or as a nation, would we be in a crises economy? NO we would not. Debt is the problem. We must tell our political people that enough is enough. Our only hope is to stop the debt. This is the natural, organic, whole foods first economic remedy, stop the bleeding.
