Thoughts on Healthy Believing, A Prayer, Natural Organic Whole Foods and our Creator

When it comes to healthy believing those of us who eat natural organic whole foods can learn a lesson from a story my mom used to tell about getting up on top of the garage at my grandfather’s house when she was a little girl and trying to fly with some card board wings she had made and fastened to her arms. Instead of flying like a bird, she was rewarded by hitting the ground with a sudden, hard thud. She observed that there is not necessarily a correlation between having wings and being able to fly.

It is also a false premise to believe that having all your meals prepared with natural, organic, whole foods is the key to success in life. In order to be a success in the natural, organic, whole foods arena of life we must first be right with our creator. Healthy believing is required. We must be right with the God who made all that there is and the one who will demand an account of everyone He has made. If we are not right with Him, then we can not be right at all. To be a success we need to be right with our creator. If we are the best stewards of our health and we feed and protect our bodies the best we are able with natural, organic and whole foods then we are partly right we must search further.

The search for healthy believing is a journey that begins with a simple prayer, it goes something like this.

Lord God, creator of heaven and earth, I sense that I am wrong and not right with you. Show me your way and make me right with you. Amen.

Pray daily with honest sincere words. Now, watch and in time He will show you what to do. It will be interesting to see what God’s natural, organic, whole foods life will be like for you. True and lasting success awaits, but be ready for a real challenge. The best things in life, including healthy believing and eating natural, organic, whole foods, may be simple, but they are not always easy.
