As many of you know I did some research last month on what some feel may be the beginnings of the most deadly flu season the world has every seen. I talk about the swine flu, the bird flu and the possibility of an influenza pandemic like happened in 1918. You can find the full report at http://www.AzureDelivery.com/FreeFluReport/2009FluWarningReport.pdf . To summarize the nature of the findings, the media hype regarding the swine flu, is where the real danger is. If we succumb to the hype and get the new vaccine for either the bird flu or the swine flu, then a new more powerful disease could then be created. In the mean time don’t panic because WHO has declared the new swine flu to be a worldwide pandemic. To quote the site that is keeping us all updated on statistics of this H1N1 swine flue from the Center for Disease control:
“A Pandemic Is Declared
On June 11, 2009, the World Health Organization (WHO) raised the worldwide pandemic alert level to Phase 6 in response to the ongoing global spread of the novel influenza A (H1N1) virus. A Phase 6 designation indicates that a global pandemic is underway.”
The swine flu is actually not that deadly. The information provided by Dr. Mercola for example shows that even with this new declaration, the swine flu is mostly hype as more people are dying from the regular everyday flu than there are from this new “swine flu” To read Dr. Mercola’s blog on the subject click here.
For now I would recommend that you stay calm, make sure your indoor air quality is in good shape and then don’t worry.
